How To Use Social Media to Get Drafted by the NFL
As the NFL Draft nears, football fans, professional scouts, GM’s and coaches know the household names like Cam Newton from Auburn. Every workout is analyzed in excrutiating detail, every word in the draft prospects’ interviews is reviewed through a psychiatrists lens. But how do the non-household names get their skills recognized and their names noticed? And what if you play an even more obscure position as opposed to the glamor of being a QB or wide receiver?
If you’re Zach Enyeart from Washington State University, you create a buzz on YouTube showcasing your skills with amazing trick shots, or trick snaps in this case. There’s been a host of trick shot videos making the rounds on sports blogs, but none with the cleverness and this clear of intent in trying to get noticed (the credits for the video showcase Zach as part of the 2011 draft class). He possesses a truly unique skill set and he’s sure to get a few more GM’s to take notice of his name.
Plus, he gets bonus points for the soundtrack – “Electric Avenue” by Eddy Grant.
