Matt Durand Behind the Scenes: New Creative Team Member

So our family of baby birds may have flown the coop, but Response is proud to announce the addition of a new member to our team, Matt Durand!
Our new graphic design master hails from the far away land of Southington,CT. He graduated from Central Connecticut State University and is getting his masters at Savannah College of Arts and Design. His original major was business; however, a persuasive teacher recognized his talent in graphic design and got him on the track which took him to where he is now. Though he prides himself as being a typography man, he hopes to become a web design wizard in the near future.
Just like elementary school children, we were eager to find out what the new kid’s deal is; family, hobbies, favorite things to eat (a very popular topic in the office, which he’ll soon come to notice). So far, we’ve discovered the following about Matt:
• He does not have a smart phone, even though he deals with new technology every day!
• Favorite movies include Casino, Saving Private Ryan, and The Royal Tanenbaums
• A childhood dream… to become The Rocketeer (“…those jet packs are the BOMB”)
• Has an older sister and a younger step brother and sister
• His favorite sandwich is the Hot Potato from a deli in New Britain (spicy potato salad, ranch, cheddar cheese, and bacon wrapped and put in a Panini press…MMMMMMM!)
• He hates the winter, and would prefer spring or fall for the nice mild weather
• He roots for the Cowboys (not a fair weather fan!)
• Wants super powers like Wolverine so that he can regenerate after an epic injury
• He’ll most likely just blame his little brother if you catch him watching the old Batman animated series
• He has PRINCE on his iPod!
Yes, our impromptu and informal interview may have been a little over-whelming for Matt, but he’ll learn that we are quite the team of interesting people with some interesting questions. Nonetheless, we were the ones in awe when we heard how he gives back to the people he loves. Matt is part of the Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition, with a foundation to support his mom. He has recently executed branding strategies to enhance their logos, website, etc, to spread awareness for a great cause. GO MATT!
We congratulate and welcome our new teammate, Matt, and look forward to the addition of talent and personality to the ever-growing Response Team!
