Vine updated Rules and Terms of Service to Prohibit Explicit Sexual Content
Vine has been watching its community grow in creative and evolving ways, but they have noticed a small percentage of videos that are being uploading are not appropriate for their community. So in response to this, they have updated their Rules and Terms of Service. Source
Facebook is updating timeline to make photos larger within newsfeeds
Facebook is updating their news feed look for desktop to more closely resemble the mobile news feed design. Facebook is keeping the layout and navigation that people liked, but offering larger images and photos, and new font. These visual updates however will not affect the news feed algorithm. Source
reddit is donating 10% of 2014 Ad revenue to non-profit of reddit community’s choosing
reddit announced that it will be donating 10% of its advertising revenue in 2014 to non-profits chosen by the reddit community. No matter how small or large the ad campaign or sponsored headline is, they intend to take all ad revenue for the year to support goals and causes in their community. At the end of the year, reddit will solicit nominations from its community for non-profits and then hold an election based off the eligible nominees. The top 10 non-profits will be given a donation based on the percentage of votes it received. Source
