For over two decades, we’ve been Response. It was a fine name. It got us in the door. It held up through a lot of good work, good clients, and good years. We built something real under that name, relationships that turned into friendships, projects that turned into careers, a reputation that we’re genuinely proud of.
But for longer than we’d probably care to admit, the name didn’t really feel like us. It felt like a relic. Something we’d inherited from an earlier version of ourselves that we’d quietly outgrown. The work had evolved. The thinking had sharpened. The way we showed up for clients had deepened in ways that took years to earn. And every time we introduced ourselves as Response it just didn’t feel quite right.
The thing about doing brand strategy work for a living is that you spend a lot of time helping other organizations get honest with themselves. You ask the hard questions. You dig for the real story. You push clients to let go of what’s comfortable in favor of what’s true. And eventually, you have to ask yourself are we doing that for our own brand? Are we willing to hold ourselves to the same standard we hold everyone else?
The answer, when we finally sat with it, was no. Not fully. We believed in the work. We believed in the people. But we weren’t deeply connected to the name on the door, and that gap was real. To do honest work, we needed to be honest with ourselves. The work deserves that. Our team deserves that. And our clients, the ones who trust us to find the truth in their brands, deserve that
So we stopped debating and made the call.
StayGold isn’t a rebrand for the sake of it. It’s us finally saying out loud what we’ve believed and practiced for years. Stay gold. Hold your standard. Provide enduring value. Don’t let the pressure to be faster, cheaper, or safer pull you away from the work that actually matters. Dig for the truth. In strategy, in creative, in how you treat the people you work with .It’s the internal compass we use every day, and it shapes everything we bring to clients.
This rebrand was, and will continue to be, a full team effort. The people here gave everything to it. They pushed when things weren’t right, started over when they needed to, and never let it be anything less than what it should be. They didn’t just execute a project, they poured themselves into something that now represents all of us. We couldn’t be more proud of what they made.
We’re stepping into this next chapter with a lot of gratitude. For the clients who’ve trusted us, for the work that got us here, and for a team that shows up the same way every single time.
